Tuesday was National Registration Day and many organizations and individuals were campaigning for eligible citizens to make sure to register to vote.
San Diego County voters should be aware that many important dates are coming up with less than two months to go before the general election on Nov. 5. This guide provides that information from the county’s Registrar of Voters. It includes details about when voters can expect to see their ballots, deadlines for voter registration and when voting centers will open for the public.

Sept. 21
The last day for County of San Diego election officials to send ballots to overseas and military voters is Sept. 21.
Sept. 26
Voter information booklets begin to be mailed out to registered voters.
Oct. 5
Ballots will start to be mailed out to registered voters.
Oct. 7
Early voting starts at the Registrar of Voters’ office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Oct. 8
Voters can begin dropping off their ballots at official drop boxes throughout the county. For hours and locations visit sdvote.com.
Oct. 21

Conditional voter registration and voting begins at voting centers, including the Registrar of Voters office, through Nov. 5.
